REC IPO Subscription Details
REC is one of the leading public financial institutions in Indian power infrastructure, engaged in the financing and promotion of transmission, distribution and generation projects throughout India.
You must have read our recommendation for REC IPO before. We had suggested to apply for this IPO looking at the strength in this company and good investment and gain potential. Here are the IPO subscription details:
Qualified Institutional Buyers [QIB]: 39.30 times
Non Institutional Investors: 27.11 times
Retail Individual Investors: 7.67 times
Employee Reservation: 0.94 times
You can gauge the investor confidence in this IPO from the response that it has generated across the board. Now here is the interesting thing. We were confused a little while applying to this IPO on last day.
We had two options
1. Either to apply for 15 lots from one account
2. Or to apply for 8-8 lots from two accounts
And I think we have taken right decision of applying for 8-8 lots from two of our accounts. And due to the over-subscription of 7.67 times in retail category which is less than 8, it’s certain that we would get 1-1 lot each in both account and totally we will get 120 shares of this powerful stock. At least that’s what our knowledge says about basis of IPO allotment.
It will be interesting to check REC IPO allotment status here in few days.
