Reliance Power IPO Allotment Status
Reliance Power IPO was over subscribed heavily, but less than 15 times in retail section. Reliance Power IPO allotment in is confirmed one lot to each retail investor for those who have applied for 15 lots. Due to the partial payment option available, most of the retail investors have applied for all 15 lots allowed by investing only Rs. 25875. This saved a lot of money to be pumped into market due to this mega IPO or you might have had seen larger fall in the market on 21st and 22nd Jan. Reliance Power IPO Allotment Status will be available in the first or second week of Feb 2008. We will update the Reliance Power IPO Allotment details as soon as that are finalized.
Meanwhile, you can also go through the strategies retail investor should have taken while applying for Reliance power IPO. This also explains the lock-in period for part payments after the IPO shares list into market.

I HAVE APPLIED FULL BID AMOUNT IN THE FORM OF PARTIAL AMOUNT HOW MUCH SHARES I GOT. SOME PERSONS ARE TOLD THIS TYPE OF PARTIAL AMOUNT SHARES WILL BE LOCKED IS THERE ANY OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN LISTING PRICE.
If you have applied for 15 lots with partial amount payment, you are still entitled to get 1 lot that is 15 shares. Well, I think yes, there is some locking for partially paid shares and you cannot sell on listing date I think, but still I would need to confirm this.

Karvy has no status on the refund of Reliance power IPO. they keep on giving future dates when you call them for status. They are nicely enjoying our monies.

I think every RPL IPO applicant has the same problem refund not received. I applied for 225 shares, alloted 16 shares but still refund not received. Reply from Karvy was that cheque was sent on 2/2/2008. Now asking for a written request to reissue the cheque.

I have paid an allotment money of Rs 96750 towards bid for 225 shares at Rs 430 ,partial refund of Rs 5590 has been sent against an allotment of 17 shares.Several comunicaion to Karvy throiugh email and phone has been made.Refund of Rs 84350 yet to be refunded .All required proof required has been submitted and Karvy has replied that they will take this up but still refund is pending. SEBI and Investor forums should take uo with Reliance and amke them pay for this deliberate negligence with investor community

This is Kumar Narendra Mahato from Kolkata.
I had applied for 120 shares through my ICICI Direct online account. I paid the entire amount Rs. 51,600.00 online at one time. My application no. is 11232513.
Neither I got the shares nor the refund till date 27th Mar 08.
I had communicated to Karvy regarding the refund via mail. They replied they have already sent me a cheque of Rs. 51,600.00 on Feb 08 first week via registered post.
I can not understand why they are sending me a cheque when I have paid them online. No cheque has come to me till now.
When I am asking Karvy regarding Cheque#, Consignment# and other courier details, they are not replying anything.
Please help me and suggest what should I do to get the refund. I desperately need the money.

This cheque has been cleared from my bank account on dated 24.01.2008 shares (partly) of Reliance Power IPO but neither even a single share did not allot to me nor my money has been refunded. Whenever I bring mater in notice of Karvy Computech they replied me “We note from the bank schedule of Escrow bankers that the cheque/demand draft submitted along with the bid-cum application has not available in the list of which was received from the schedule Bank. Therefore, you are requested to verify with your banker regarding the status of payment and revert to us along with a confirmation letter on their letter head, in case the cheque/demand issued /lodged by you is found as paid. Please send us the attach file of the bank Statements from 15.01.2008 to 01.04.2008 so that we can do the needful”. I collected from my kotak bank, the statement of account, letter of confirmation of said cheque clearance & also the front & back side copy of cheque cleared. Power Ltd. vide application no. 55176584 I paid cheque of Rs. 25875/= by cheque no. 164336 dt. 15.01.2008 drawee bank Bank of Baroda Rajendra Nagar Bareilly. The application was collected through AXIS Bank Bareilly vide their Sr. No. 7325494
This cheque has been cleared from my bank account on 21.01.2008 fvg. Reliance Power IPO-R but neither even a single share did not allot to me nor my money has been refunded. Whenever I bring matter in notice of Karvy Computech they replied me filmsy so many time–
“We have noted the contents of your mail and we shall revert the matter 3 days or within a week.”
On 2nd May 2008 M/s Karvy has replied me
“In this regard we would like to inform you that the refund has been issued through ECS on 09/02/2008 and the same was enchashed per our record.”
Immediately I have enquired from my banker and they have informed no credit has been recd. by ECS in my account.
I was also surprised to note that How it is possible that M/s Karvy have refunded the amount by ECS because BAREILLY (U.P) Center is not included for ECS payment.
When I mailed this truth to M/s Karvy immidately on next day they have again replied fimsly statement –
“We have noted your contents and shall reply within week’s time.”
In this connection I have also mailed the scanned copy/photo copy front & back side copy of cheque cleared. (I am very much thankful to Bank of Baroda for providing me all these detail). I send all these detail to Karvy Computer Share & to reliance customer care by mail on their mail addresses reliancepower.ipo@karvy.com, ,as well as on fax and by courier and forwarded to reliancepower.ipo@relianceada.com. After this the reply of karvy was
“we would like to inform you that we have noted the contents of the mail and shall revert to you shortly”.
Now after my several reminders they are not entertaining me. Neither are they giving reply of my mails. Till date I have not received the Status of my application or refund amount of the same. Karvy aur Reliance Power Dono Chor hai. Applied for 225 shares vide appl no 61393153. Surprising while browsing status of application, saw that my name is replaced by some Gopal Agarwal.
In spite of several reminders, Karvy gave foolish replies that they have sent the refund to a bank account which is not mine. I am shocked… how on earth such mistakes can occur!!!!
Number of communications sent to Reliance Power, Karvy and SEBI. While the former two maintained complete silence, the latter (Toothless tiger SEBI) has only acknowledged my complaint after a gap of 2 months followed by dumbness.
Can any one suggest me what to do now????
