Softbpo Global Services Rights Issue Proposal
Softbpo Global Services was locked at upper limit of 5% at Rs 264.60 at 11:38 IST on BSE after its board approved rights issue of shares in the ratio of 40:1, at a huge discount to the ruling market price. The rights issue will be at a premium of Rs 60 per share of the face value of Rs 10 each. The company made the announcement after trading hours on Wednesday, 21 May 2008.
On BSE, 2700 shares were traded in the counter. The scrip had an average daily volume of 1710 shares in the past one quarter. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 260.30 on 16 May 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 121.35 on 15 April 2008.
The scrip had outperformed the market over the past one month till 21 May 2008, gaining 79.49% compared to the Sensex’s 2.74% gain. The small-cap BPO services provider has an equity capital of Rs 0.15 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
